A bit of background

I started my career with a qualification in Quantity Surveying from Nottingham Trent University in 1989. A few roles followed including kitchen designer, timber and damp surveyor and financial controller. Then in 2002 my wife Helen and I started a staircase company specialising in bespoke, contemporary feature staircases.

During the twenty plus years that followed running the business we successfully designed and installed bespoke staircases across the UK and beyond, including France, Ireland, Antigua and San Francisco.

Three of our staircases were even featured on the Grand Design TV shows, with a personal appearance by me in the last one….fame at last!

After clocking up too many miles to mention, in 2023 I felt it was time to focus on my passion of carpentry and building renovation. Having renovated many of our own family homes over the years, coupled with the skills honed fitting the staircases, my experience and professionalism are now focused on providing quality solutions to local projects.

I hope to meet you in the future and thanks for showing an interest in my work.
