“Phil is not only a brilliant carpenter, he is a truly lovely, hard working guy who is so very passionate about his work, always being respectful to be working on your home. He's was great to chat to and discuss ideas with, and is full of thoughtful and practical suggestions on how to make your ideas possible! Now for the carpentry, Phil has built us so many beautiful pieces during our cottage renovation that it is hard listening everything. He was vital during our staircase build, creating a design that is functional to use and practical for the area we had available. Since then he has finished our freestanding oak kitchen using reclaimed oak flooring, edged tiles with oak and put up scaffold board shelving.

He's created a beautiful boot room with storage and benches out of reclaimed materials, a larder cupboard, oak doors for bread ovens, oak thresholds and window sills. He is considerate when working with reclaimed and heritage pieces, rehanging all our original 1600s doors, making sure the frames moulded to the doors so they did not need to be cut.

We would all welcome Phil back in a heartbeat and can't wait to have him back for all our future projects. Nothing is ever too much, with great communication throughout the design and build, just a wonderful experience and woodwork that will last longer than us all. We cannot recommend Phil highly enough!!”
